Blackberry and Blueberry Dutch Oven Cobbler

10-18-11 Seasonal Harvest Bundle Recipe Suggestion #5

We had this as dessert on Sunday up Millcreek Canyon. It was so easy! It takes only a few ingredients, and is just the thing for a lovely fall dessert with some ice cream. Mmmm.
Here's how you make it:

Blackberry and Blueberry Dutch Oven Cobbler

Ingredients:
1 cup blackberries
1 cup blueberries
1 yellow cake mix
1 can sprite
1 cup sugar
Dutch Oven and some hot coals!

Preparation:
1. In a Dutch Oven, pour in berries and sprinkle with 1/2 cup or sugar.
2. Pour yellow cake mix over berries and spread evenly.
3. Pour sprite over cake mix. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
* No need to stir at all.
4. Place Dutch Oven with lid on over hot coals. Shovel some of the coals on the lid too. Check after about 10 minutes. Watch closely until slightly golden on the top.
5. Serve hot, with some ice cream or whipped cream. Or both for that matter! :)

Enjoy!
