The beginning of something Delicious!

Today I have started a new chapter in my adventures of Cooking. Even though Mike and I's Muir Fresh Harvest business has stopped, I am not sad. We made that decision for the benefit of our family. I truly loved working with all the fresh Produce and Specialty Foods on such a regular basis! It brought excitement to my everyday cooking that I have yet to match through other avenues. I have missed that dearly. However, a new opportunity has come my way that is along the same lines as Muir Fresh Harvest. My husband's family company, Muir Copper Canyon Farms is going to be servicing Winder Dairy with their Produce and Specialty Foods for their weekly offerings starting towards the end of this lovely month of April! They have been struggling with sourcing fresh quality produce in my area and have come to MCCF for help. I am thrilled to announce that I will be working with the newly refreshed "Produce Bundles" that MCCF will create for Winder Dairy by formulating recipes and cooking suggestions for their weekly offerings! This will be such a fun new endeavor for me and my family.

Today I started work for Winder/MCCF by cooking a delicious Sunday lunch for my family. It went well. We all loved the meal. I can't express how hopefull I am and how driven I feel for my new project. It will be great! I hope you will follow along with me through this journey with fresh food. You will see me on the web more regularly as I document my time cooking with the contents of the Winder Dairy Produce offerings. Wahoo!!!

Today I made one of my Families favorite Chicken recipes. I also put together a new potato salad version that was a hit. To go with those two rockstar elements of the meal I added simply sliced fuji apples drizzled with lemon juice. Put it all together and you have a springtime meal that can be served hot out of the oven, or cool at the picnic table. You can't go wrong there!

Today turned out to be such a wonderful day full of LDS General Conference inspiring messages, and good food with the family. I am grateful for this day.
