Goodbye Summer, Hello White Grape Juice!

One of my new favorite things about my house: White grape vine of glory!!!

My back yard neighbor just so happens to have a lovely overgrown vine that has crept over the fence in search of better sun exposure. Much to my delight, this certain neighbor doesn't use the grapes and has allowed me dibs on the precious fruits! I picked all the grapes on his side of the fence and mine. Of course I shared some of the treasured juice with him... Come to find out that the grapes in my yard are double the size, and more plentiful! I couldn't ask for a better vine really.

I grew up having white grapes in my yard, and have always loved the juice they make. It is so subtle and delicious. I highly recommend planting one right away if you don't have one... :)

I tasted the grapes, they were ready, so juicing was on!!! My cute Sister Sandy and my Aunt Diane came over to help too. We made an afternoon of it, and pounded out a ton of quarts of this sweet nectar of Summer! I so appreciated their help considering the fact that I am coming up on seven months pregnant. Making grape juice is not exactly the easiest process, but it is worth every minute of it. I promise.

All you really need is a good juicer, some quart jars and the grapes to go with it.
You pick the grapes,
You clean the grapes,
You stem the grapes,
You juice the grapes,
You pour scalding hot juice into jars,
You cool the juice..... Then,
You drink the grapes!!! Thats the best part.
Do it. You wont regret it for a second. :)

Plus. Aren't these little gems are gorgeous? They should win an award for the prettiest part of the pantry!
